One remarkable catalyst for responsibletourism, The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), has once again awarded El Nido Resorts the “PATA Gold Award for Environmental Education Program” for 2015. PATA, being an international non-profitassociation, recognized 25 organizations and individuals for their excellence in raising the bar in the travel industry. El Nido Resorts’ Director of Sustainability, Ms. Marigs Laririt, proudly accepted the award at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) last September 8, 2015 in Bangalore, India.
On the other side of the globe, El Nido Resorts’ Eco-Luxury resort, Pangulasian Island, received the prestigious “Southeast Asia’s Best Sustainable Boutique Hotel” presented by World Boutique Hotel Awards in London. The esteemed event brought together the best of the best in the world.
This was followed shortly by World Travel Awards (WTA), citing El Nido Resorts the “Asia’s Responsible Tourism” award. Being a globally-recognized award-giving body, WTA enthuse El Nido Resorts to set the benchmark which all others will surely aspire. Capping the year, El Nido Resorts was named “Best Branded Accommodation” by PATA Tourism InSPIRE Awards in Thailand. It appreciated the company’s commitment to sustainable practices.
